Some of our notable property dispute cases

  • Advising a client on  reviewing and setting aside a complex environmental authorization record of decision issued by the Department of Environmental Affairs that would affect thousands of properties by installing electricity pylons near homes;


  • Acting in a High Court dispute against a large retail shopping centre in a R264 million claim for damages;


  • Advising state organ on expropriation of land without compensation;


  • Represented a client in mediation proceedings at the National Energy Regulator of South Africa against two glass manufacturing factories in an electricity dispute which dealt with aspects of the National Energy Act of 2004 and the Electricity Regulation Act of 2006 and technical specifications relating to electricity metering;


  • Acting in large-scale evictions  which ensured the peaceful relocation of individuals in a temporary transit camp pending a successful public participation process and ensuring that the individuals are provided with temporary accommodation.


  • Securing interdicts in Land Grabs that were occurring in the Gauteng Province
